Matador Jiu-Jitsu
The Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu sports club at California State University, Northridge. No experience needed. White to black, all belts welcomed!
Who we are
The club was started by a CSUN alumnus and 10th Planet Jiu-Jitsu instructor. After a two-year hiatus, the club was reformed and is now instructed by black belt Eric "The Darce Knight" Medina, under Jean Jacque Machado, Jose "Animal" Arreguin, a brown belt under 10th Planet Jiu-Jitsu, and Jesus "Prez" Ramirez, a purple belt under Eric Medina.
We strive to promote an active lifestyle, discipline, self-defense and new friendships through the "gentle art" known as Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. We also compete in collegiate events in both gi and no-gi grappling. Competing is never required, but always encouraged.
We train on campus at CSUN in Redwood Hall, and at our partner academy, Forge Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu in Van Nuys.

Where we train
Club practices split between two mats. Classes on campus are color-coded CSUN red and classes at Forge are Forge gold everywhere on this site.
